Editing Your Profile and Icon
Your AB Projects profile is how teammates recognize you on tasks, comments, and updates. Your name and icon start from your Microsoft 365 identity, and you can adjust them — along with your language and timezone — from the Settings tab.
Where to edit your profile
- Open the Settings tab in the AB Projects app (the personal app, or the web).
- The top of Settings is your profile, where you can update the items below. Changes are saved as you make them (you'll see a confirmation), and only you can edit your own profile.
What you can change
- Display name — the name shown to your team. Edit it and save with the upload (cloud) icon next to the field.
- Profile icon — click your current icon to pick an image file (JPG or PNG). It's uploaded and stored, and your icon updates for you right away; teammates see the new icon as their views refresh.
- Language — the interface language / culture used across AB Projects.
- Timezone — used for things like your scheduled task digest, so reminders arrive at the times you expect (see Notifications and Reminders).
- Email signature — an optional signature used where AB Projects sends email on your behalf.
Where your profile appears
- Your display name and icon show up in task lists, the task detail panel, comments and mentions, the Gantt and Kanban views, and on the Adaptive Cards posted to the linked Teams channel.
- Keeping them recognizable makes it easy to see who owns and is discussing what.
Tips
- Set your timezone correctly — it directly affects when your task digest is delivered.
- Use a clear headshot or simple avatar so you're easy to spot in assignee and mention lists.
- If your name came in from Microsoft 365 in a form you don't want shown, just override the display name here.
A clear, current profile keeps collaboration easy to follow — take a moment to set yours up.
