Language and Locale Settings
AB Projects is localized into several languages so teams around the world can work in a language they're comfortable with. Your language choice is a personal setting and follows your account across the app.
Available languages
AB Projects localizes its interface, task-option names, change-history messages, and bot replies into:
- English
- 日本語 (Japanese)
- Français (French)
- Deutsch (German)
- Español (Spanish)
- Português (Portuguese)
- Italiano (Italian)
- 한국어 (Korean)
- 中文（简体）(Chinese, Simplified)
- 中文（繁體）(Chinese, Traditional)
The Teams app listing and bot are additionally localized for Arabic and Russian. Coverage can vary slightly by surface, with English used as the fallback when a phrase isn't translated for your language.
How to change your language
- Open the Settings tab in the AB Projects app (the personal app, or the web).
- In the profile section, choose your language from the language dropdown.
- It saves on selection (you'll see a confirmation); the interface updates to the chosen language.
What your language setting affects
- The interface text throughout AB Projects.
- Task option names — statuses, types, and environments — shown in your language when the project has provided localized names (a project can also restrict which languages its option names offer).
- Change-history messages and the bot's replies and acknowledgements.
About dates and formats
- AB Projects generally shows dates in a clear ISO-style format (for example
2025-12-01) rather than reformatting numbers and dates per region. - Delivery times (such as your scheduled task digest) follow your timezone, which is a separate setting in the same Settings page (see Editing Your Profile and Icon and Notifications and Reminders).
- AB Projects is a task tool, so there are no currency or financial number formats to localize.
Tips
- If a label appears in English while the rest is translated, it simply hasn't been localized for your language yet — English is the fallback.
- Set your timezone alongside your language so reminders arrive at the right local time.
- When configuring a project's statuses, types, and environments, add localized names so teammates see them in their own language.
Choosing your language makes AB Projects easier to navigate and keeps task context clear for everyone on the team.
