AB is a family of Microsoft Teams apps from Receipt Roller Inc. AB Projects handles projects, tasks, and team documents; AB Sales handles the sales pipeline. Both run inside Microsoft Teams, share one workspace, and connect to AI assistants including Claude and ChatGPT so work can be created and completed from wherever the conversation happens.

AB Projects turns Teams channels into working project spaces: tasks arrive as Adaptive Cards, conversations stay attached to the work they're about, and project documents live beside the tasks that reference them. AB Sales applies the same idea to revenue, moving each lead through a staged pipeline — Lead, Contact, Opportunity, Customer — without leaving Teams.
What distinguishes AB is that AI assistants don't just advise, they act. Through the Model Context Protocol, assistants including Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, and Windsurf can read a team's context and then create, update, and complete real work in the shared workspace.
AB is available in 11 languages and sold through Microsoft AppSource.

- Paid seats are purchased through the Microsoft Marketplace SaaS offer and billed via Microsoft.

The AI integration angle
The detail most worth reporting: AB is one of a small number of project tools where an AI assistant is a participant, not an advisor.
Through MCP (Model Context Protocol), connected assistants can:
- Read a user's open tasks, deadlines, and what teammates are working on
- Create and update tasks with assignee, due date, description, and estimate
- Break work into subtasks and link related project documents
- Read comment threads and respond in them
- Close a task, moving it cleanly into the closed state
