Daily Digest and AI Assistance
AB Projects helps your team stay aligned with a personal daily digest of your open work, and uses AI to take routine effort out of tasks — summaries, suggested subtasks, and AI assistants that can work tasks on your behalf.
Your daily digest
- AB Projects can send you a regular summary of your top open tasks (up to ten, ordered by due date, overdue flagged) across every project you belong to.
- You choose the weekdays, the time(s) per day, and whether it arrives by email, as a Teams direct message, or both. It's configured per person in the AB Projects Settings tab under Task Reminders.
- This is an automatic catch-up of your current work — see Notifications and Reminders for full details. It is not a written status report you submit.
AI summary on a task
- When you open a task, AB Projects can show an AI-generated summary that captures the task's context and key points at a glance, so you don't have to read the whole history to get oriented.
- The summary is generated in the background and shown alongside the task; it's assistance, not a change to the task itself.
AI-suggested subtasks
- From a task, open Suggest subtasks. The AI proposes a set of subtasks for breaking the work down.
- You can edit the suggestions, select the ones you want (select all / deselect all), and then create just those — they become real subtasks under the task.
- Nothing is created until you confirm, so the AI never changes your task list on its own here.
AI assistants (MCP)
- AB Projects is AI-ready through the Model Context Protocol (MCP). Connected AI assistants can create tasks, update them, and add comments on your behalf.
- AI-generated activity is clearly disclosed in-app so it's always obvious what came from an assistant versus a person. You're encouraged to review AI-generated content before relying on it.
Tips
- Set your digest times and timezone in Settings so your catch-up arrives when you actually plan your day.
- Use Suggest subtasks on larger tasks to get a fast first breakdown, then trim it to what you really need before creating.
- Treat the AI summary as a quick orientation, not the source of truth — the task's change history and comments remain authoritative.
- When delegating to an AI assistant, keep an eye on the AI-disclosure markers so the team always knows what was automated.
With a digest on your own schedule and AI that summarizes, suggests, and assists, AB Projects cuts routine effort while keeping people in control.
