Navigating the Interface
This guide covers AB Projects. (Other ActionBridge products — such as AB Sales Management — have their own tailored navigation, documented separately.) AB Projects runs inside Microsoft Teams as an app with a few tabs, plus the same experience on the web for signed-in members.
The tabs
- Home — your personal starting point: what’s assigned to you, what’s due, and recent activity at a glance.
- Tasks — the main workspace: the full task list for the project, where you create, open, and update work.
- Projects — switch between the projects you belong to and see cross-project context.
- Settings — configure the project/tab (linked channel, options, and preferences). Typically used by admins.
Working in the Tasks tab
The Tasks tab is where most work happens. Switch how the same tasks are displayed using the view buttons:
- List view — clean rows for fast scanning, sorting, and inline review (including subtasks).
- Board view — Kanban-style columns grouped by status.
- Gantt view — a timeline for due dates and scheduling at a glance.
- + Create Task — top-right of the task list, always available.
- Search & filter — narrow the list by keyword, assignee, status, and more.
- Task detail panel — click any task and it slides in from the right, over your current view, so you keep your place. Close it to return exactly where you were.
Staying in the loop
- When a project is linked to a Teams channel, task creates and updates post as adaptive cards in the channel thread — you can act on work without opening the tab.
- You’re notified in Microsoft Teams / Outlook when you’re assigned or @mentioned.
Tips
- Opening a task never loses your list/board/Gantt position — the detail panel slides over the top.
- The Teams tab and the web app are the same experience; use whichever fits the moment.
- Use Projects to jump between teams; use Home for a quick “what should I do next” view across your work.
Once the tabs and views are familiar, you can move between projects, find work fast, and keep everything moving forward without leaving Microsoft Teams.
