Your books, where your team already works
Receipts and vendor invoices are read, approved and posted without leaving Teams — and every entry already knows the project it belongs to and the deal it came from. AB Finance is your accounting system, not an add-on to one.
A private app, United States first
AB Finance is not on Microsoft AppSource and there is no self-serve sign-up. We are building it with a small number of design partners in the United States — US dollars, a single entity, and services businesses that carry no inventory. Japanese accounting has requirements we intend to meet properly or not at all, so Japan follows later.
From the receipt to the trial balance
Money gets approved in the place your team already talks, and lands in a real ledger on the way — with none of the retyping that usually sits in between.
Photograph the receipt. That is the expense report.
Snap it in Teams and AB Finance reads the vendor, the amount, the date and the tax, picks the category, and checks it against your policy. The manager approves in one tap — and the entry is posted, not queued for somebody to retype on Friday.
Vendor invoices read themselves
An invoice arrives by email and AB Finance pulls out the amount, the due date and the terms, routes it to the person who should approve it with the remaining budget attached, and schedules the payment. Nothing sits in an inbox waiting to be noticed.
Every entry knows where it came from
An expense knows its project because AB Projects holds it. An invoice knows the deal because AB Sales closed it. An approval knows the reporting line because AB Talent holds the org chart. No accounting system can assemble that context, because none of them own those products.
A real ledger underneath
Double-entry journals, a chart of accounts, the general ledger, the trial balance and bank reconciliation. Approved transactions post straight through, so what you approved in the morning is in the books by the afternoon — this is your system of record, not an export waiting to be imported somewhere else.
Invoice out, and the money in
A deal won in AB Sales becomes an invoice without anyone retyping the terms. Recurring billing runs itself, and AB Finance tracks who has paid, who has not, and sends the reminders you would otherwise have to remember to send.
Close the month, and see the runway
Profit and loss, balance sheet, and budget against actual broken down by project. The cash-flow forecast is built on your real sales pipeline rather than a guess — so a tight month three months out is something you are told about, not something you discover.
The parts that have to be exactly right
Accounting has no partial credit. These are built to be correct for the companies we serve — and where a domain deserves a specialist, we connect to one instead of pretending.
Chart of accounts & journals
Double-entry, the general ledger and the trial balance — the foundation everything else stands on.
Bank feeds & reconciliation
Transactions come in automatically and match against what you have already approved.
Fixed assets & depreciation
Schedules that run themselves, so nothing is remembered in a spreadsheet once a year.
Budget vs actual, by project
Project cost comes from AB Projects, so the comparison is real rather than reconstructed.
Sales tax, connected
Handled through Avalara or TaxJar. Thousands of US jurisdictions deserve a specialist, not our second-best attempt.
Payroll, connected
Runs on Gusto, Rippling or ADP. We take the numbers and post them; we do not calculate your payslips.
Accountant access & period locking
Your accountant gets in, and a closed period stays closed.
SSO & audit trail
Sign in with Microsoft 365, and every entry is attributable to the person who made it.

AB Finance is being built with a small number of finance teams. If you want an accounting system shaped around how your company actually spends and approves, now is when that gets decided.
