Task Comments and Mentions

Task Comments and Mentions

2.3 Task Comments and Mentions

Comments in AB keep communication organized, contextual, and visible to the right people. Instead of scattered chats, task-specific discussions happen directly inside the task detail panel — with support for mentions, rich text, and Microsoft Teams integration.

Adding a Comment

  • Open any task and scroll to the Comments section.
  • Type your message using rich text formatting if needed (e.g. bold, lists, links).
  • Click Post to submit your comment. It will be saved with your name and timestamp.

Using Mentions

  • Type @ followed by a teammate's name to mention them directly (e.g. @Nin).
  • Mentioned users receive a notification — in-app and/or in Microsoft Teams, depending on settings.
  • You can also mention entire roles or teams (e.g. @Developers) if configured.

Microsoft Teams Integration

  • When a comment is added, it can optionally post to the related Teams channel thread under an adaptive card.
  • Replies made in Teams are synced back into the task comment thread (if integration is enabled).
  • This keeps communication in sync across both platforms — Teams and ACTIONBRIDGE.

Comment History

  • All comments are stored with author and timestamp for visibility and auditability.
  • Deleted or edited comments (if allowed) are versioned and marked accordingly.

Tips

  • Use comments to provide updates instead of editing the task description — this keeps change history clean.
  • Mentioning someone is a great way to assign lightweight tasks without formal reassignment.
  • For important announcements, consider pinning or highlighting a comment at the top of the thread (if enabled).

With integrated comments and mentions, ACTIONBRIDGE brings conversation and execution into one space — aligned, searchable, and accountable.
