Sales Workspaces: Channel-Linked vs Standalone

A workspace is one self-contained CRM — its own leads, contacts, opportunities, customers, settings, and pipeline. You can have as many as you need, and there are two kinds.

Channel-linked

Created when you add the AB Sales tab to a Teams channel. Shared with everyone in that channel, and it posts a card to the channel when new leads and customers are created.

Use it when a team works the pipeline together.

Standalone

Created in the AB Sales personal app (Channels tab → New workspace). Not tied to any channel — yours to run solo, with no channel notifications.

Use it when you run your own outbound and don't need a channel.

Create a workspace

  • Channel-linked: in a Teams channel, + → AB Sales → confirm setup. See Installing AB Sales.
  • Standalone: open the AB Sales personal app → Channels tab → New workspace, and give it a name.

Switching between workspaces

Open the personal app's Channels tab to see every workspace you belong to and jump into any one. Inside a workspace, the header shows which workspace you're in, with a back arrow to return to the list.
