The IT desk that does it, not the one that logs it

Every employee gets their own IT desk — a one-to-one chat in Teams where they ask, and get an answer from your own IT documentation. When something has to actually happen — an account, a licence, an access grant — AB IT Desk does it, inside your Microsoft 365 tenant, and writes down exactly what it did.

A private app, and it asks for real permissions

AB IT Desk is not on Microsoft AppSource and there is no self-serve sign-up — we are installing it for design partners one organization at a time. It is also worth saying plainly: an app that creates accounts and grants access needs administrative consent in your tenant. Your admin grants it, scopes it, sees every action it takes, and can revoke it in a click. We would rather you ask us that question now than discover it during a security review.

From the question to the thing being done

Most IT tickets are a question with a known answer, or a request with a known procedure. Both of those should end in Teams — not in a queue.

Everyone gets their own IT desk

It is a one-to-one chat in Teams, so asking costs nothing — no channel with an audience, no ticket form, nothing new to learn. AB IT Desk knows who it is talking to the moment they open it, answers from your own runbooks and cites the page it used. The routine questions — VPN, printers, password resets, which app to use for what — stop reaching a person at all, and the awkward ones finally get asked.

Accounts and licences, actually provisioned

When AB Talent marks a new hire as starting, AB IT Desk creates the Microsoft 365 account, adds the right groups, assigns the licences and books the laptop. Not a ticket that says "please create an account" — the account. Offboarding runs the same list backwards, so access ends the day employment does.

Access that expires on its own

Someone needs admin rights or a new tool. The request goes to their manager and to IT in Teams, and once approved the access is granted for a stated window — then removed automatically. Nobody has to remember to take it away, which is the step that actually gets skipped.

Every device accounted for

Who has which machine, what it is running, whether it is patched, and when the warranty ends — read from Intune rather than from a spreadsheet somebody updates when they remember. At offboarding the device is on the list to come back.

The licences you pay for and nobody opens

AB IT Desk compares what is assigned against what has actually been used, so the seats nobody has touched in a month are visible instead of invisible. Reclaim them in a click — and the saving lands in AB Finance rather than in a note somewhere.

When it needs a person, they start with the machine in front of them

If a problem needs an engineer, it becomes a tracked ticket that opens with the device, its patch state, what changed on it recently, and everything already tried — so the first message is a fix rather than "can you send a screenshot?"

Questions IT teams ask us

Not by signing up — it is a private app, with no AppSource listing and no self-serve plan, and we onboard design partners one organization at a time. Talk to us and we will tell you honestly whether the current build fits how your IT team works.

Audience. AB Support answers your customers; AB IT Desk answers your employees. They share the same answering engine, but AB IT Desk is the one with permission to act on your tenant — creating accounts, assigning licences, granting access — which is not something you would ever want pointed at a customer conversation.

It really creates them. That requires administrative consent in your Microsoft 365 tenant, which your admin grants and scopes — and can revoke at any time. Every action AB IT Desk takes is recorded against the request and the person that triggered it, so an auditor can follow the chain from "someone asked" to "this permission changed".

For the device features, yes — ownership, OS, patch state and the offboarding return list are read from Intune, and without it that section is empty. Everything else, the answering, the provisioning, the access approvals and the licence work, runs on Microsoft 365 alone.

If ServiceNow is working for you, you may not need to. AB IT Desk is for companies that decided to keep everything inside Microsoft 365 and would rather not have their people learn a second place to ask for help. You can run both while you evaluate — we would rather you compared them properly than switched on a promise.

The conversation, when it becomes a request someone has to pick up — it is a support channel, not a diary. What is kept and reported on is the actions: every account, licence and permission AB IT Desk changes on your tenant is written to the audit trail alongside the request that caused it. Tell your people where that line sits. A chat they trust is the reason they ask at all, and the questions people are too embarrassed to ask in a channel are usually the ones you most want to hear.

Tell us what your IT queue looks like

AB IT Desk is being built with a small number of internal IT teams. If most of your queue is the same handful of questions and requests, that is exactly the queue we want to see.
