Since 1.622.0, most of the work has gone into something you notice by not noticing it. When a teammate changes a task, or an AI assistant updates a document, the view you already have open keeps up. No refresh, no quiet doubt about whether you’re looking at the current version.
Your view keeps up
AB Projects has always pushed changes to your Microsoft Teams channel. What it didn’t reliably do was update the screen you were already looking at. Now it does.
- Task lists refresh themselves. When anyone changes a task in the project you’re viewing — a teammate, or an AI assistant working through MCP — the list updates in place. Your filters, sort order and current view stay exactly as you left them.
- Documents tell you when they’ve moved on. If someone edits the wiki article you’re reading, a small banner appears offering to refresh. The text never swaps out underneath you mid-paragraph — you decide when to catch up.
- New documents appear as they’re written. A colleague adding an article now shows up in your navigation tree straight away, instead of waiting for your next page load.
The honest version: this was supposed to work before and, in a number of cases, silently didn’t. A change would reach the channel but never the open tab, with nothing to indicate anything had gone wrong. That gap is closed, and the path now reports enough about itself that we’d see it if it ever reopened.
Small things that were in the way
- The wiki article menu stays where you left it. Edit, History and Delete sit at the top right of a document. On narrower windows — the Microsoft Teams panel especially — a long title or a few tags could push that menu onto its own line, where it opened half-hidden. It stays put now.
- Project settings show what’s configured. Statuses, task types and environments each show how many you have, so you can see the shape of a project’s setup without opening three pages to find out.
- Comments keep their shape. A pasted screenshot scales to fit the column instead of spilling past it, and a long link wraps instead of stretching the panel sideways.
What’s underneath
A large share of this release doesn’t appear in the product at all. The code that carries a change from wherever it was made to wherever you’re looking had grown tangled enough that failures could pass unnoticed — which is precisely how the live-update problem survived as long as it did. That path has been consolidated, documented, and given proper diagnostics.
Nothing about that is visible on screen, and it isn’t meant to be. It’s the reason the fixes above are likely to stay fixed.
As always, AB Projects updates automatically — nothing to install. If anything looks off after the new version lands for you, the team is only a message away.
