Since 1.425.85, the work has gone into the foundations that matter when AB Projects leaves home: making sure everything works for any Microsoft 365 organization, and connecting the dots of the Basic plan from purchase to seat. Less visible than new buttons — but this is the release that makes AB Projects genuinely ready for teams outside our own walls.
Works in every organization
- Sign in with any work account — the web app now accepts every Microsoft 365 work or school account, not just invited guests. Open Microsoft Teams or the browser, sign in, and you’re in.
- Task cards, votes, and meetings in your own tenant — we hardened the entire Teams messaging path for organizations of every region and tenant: task cards post to your channels, meeting-poll votes and confirmations update in place, and scheduled meetings land on your own calendar.
- New channels work immediately — link a project to a freshly created channel and task cards start posting right away. No warm-up, no need to @mention the bot first.
The Basic plan, end to end
- A real activation page — after purchasing on Microsoft AppSource you now land on a clear confirmation showing your plan, seats, and Microsoft 365 tenant, and activate with one click. No hidden steps.
- Seats where you manage your team — assigned Basic seats appear in Settings → Manage licenses, which now speaks Japanese as well as English. Your first 10 users stay free in every organization — always.
- Consistent, polite seat prompts — when a team grows past its free seats, the web app, the bot, and connected AI assistants all explain the situation the same way, in your language, and point at the admin who can help. Nothing is deleted, nothing breaks — work simply waits for a seat.
- Subscription changes behave — seat-count changes, suspensions, and cancellations from Microsoft now flow through exactly as they should.
Small things that respect your flow
- Reminder emails open Microsoft Teams — task links in your daily reminder and deadline emails now open the task right inside the Teams app, exactly where you work, instead of a browser tab.
- Meeting polls tidy up after themselves — after sending a poll, the panel shows its confirmation and closes on its own, with the new poll already visible in the task.
- Detaching a parent task is now deliberate — a clearly labeled Detach button with a confirmation, replacing an easy-to-misclick icon. The tasks themselves are never deleted, only the link between them.
As always, AB Projects updates automatically — nothing to install. If anything looks off after the new version lands for you, the team is only a message away.
