Version 1.156.85 Release Note
Since 1.95.66, AB has gone through its biggest refresh yet. The centerpiece is a complete reimagining of the Team page as a collaboration workbench — not just a list of names, but a surface that helps teammates actually work better together. Alongside it, the personal and project dashboards have been unified, the Wiki reading and editing experience has been smoothed out, and a friendlier assistant voice has been woven across every screen.
The Team Page, Reimagined
What used to be a simple members list is now a collaboration workbench. Each teammate’s card surfaces the signals that actually matter for working together:
- Pending tasks between you and each teammate — “waiting on them” and “on me” at a glance
- When you last worked on the same task, and when they were last active in the project
- Soft-defined role tags each member can edit for themselves (“PM”, “Backend Engineer”, etc.)
Three one-click actions on every card, without ever leaving the page:
- Assign a task — an inline form expands inside the card with the assignee already locked in; create a task in seconds
- View their open tasks — a compact task list opens right in the card, so you can check on someone’s work without losing your place
- Nudge — post a polite “checking in” card to the Teams channel, rate-limited so it stays courteous
Smart Team Insights
A friendly assistant now reads your team’s activity and surfaces helpful observations at the top of the Team page, such as:
- “3 people in your Teams channel aren’t on AB yet” — with a one-click invite
- “Alice has open tasks that haven’t moved in 14 days — worth a nudge?”
- “You and Dan haven’t worked on a task together yet”
- “Your team is small — projects with 3+ people see better follow-through”
Each message quietly disappears when the situation it’s pointing at is resolved.
One-Click Invite from Your Teams Channel
Bringing teammates into AB is now a tap, not a chore. The invite flow reads your linked Teams channel’s members, shows everyone who isn’t on AB yet, and onboards the people you pick right away — no email back-and-forth, no external links. A welcome card lands in the channel once new members are in.
Unified Dashboard (Personal & Project)
Home dashboards are one cohesive experience now, whether you’re looking at your own work or a specific project:
- Status tiles (Active, Overdue, Completed this week, Completed this month) that double as filters on the task list below
- Activity heatmaps — your own across all projects, or a team heatmap scoped to one project, with a Team / You toggle
- Weekly velocity chart — 8-week completion trend
- Open-by-priority and task-status donuts — know where attention belongs
- Streaks (current and longest), upcoming milestones, and a daily greeting that acknowledges today’s state
Wiki Improvements
- Mobile-friendly — the document tree collapses into a drawer on narrow screens; the edit panel adapts fluidly
- Relative timestamps — “2d ago” reads faster than a raw date; hover reveals the full timestamp
- Quick filter above the document tree — find docs as you type
- Tidier action menu — Edit, History, and Delete now live behind a single three-dot menu, with Delete tucked under a divider so it can’t be clicked by accident
- A cleaner empty state that points new users at the new document button
Consistent “+” Everywhere
Creating a new thing — a document, a task, inviting a teammate — now uses the same recognizable blue floating “+” button across every page. Learn it once, use it everywhere.
A Friendlier Voice
AB’s assistant speaks with one voice across every screen now. Whether it’s welcoming you back, suggesting an invite, or quietly noting your team is still small, you hear the same friendly bot in the same speech bubble — a small thing that makes the product feel coherent.
Quality & Platform
- Pre-aggregated daily activity counts for fast, accurate heatmaps (no more waiting for charts to compute)
- Nightly data-consistency checks keep the activity counts aligned with the truth
- Broader localization polish across English and Japanese
- Dozens of smaller UX fixes from community feedback
Version 1.156.85 takes another meaningful step toward AB’s north star: a workspace where teams actually accomplish more together, not just a place where tasks are filed. Thank you to everyone who tried things early and sent feedback along the way — it shaped every page in this release.
