Visibility in AB Sales is based on workspace membership. If you're a member of a workspace, you see that workspace's pipeline; roles control what you can manage, not what you can see. And every workspace's data is isolated from every other.
What a workspace member can see
- All leads, contacts, opportunities, and customers in the workspace — there's no per-record “private” visibility.
- Notes, activities, and email history on any record they can see.
- The same data across the Dashboard, Leads, Contacts, Opportunities, and Customers tabs.
Who is a member?
Channel-linked workspace
Everyone in the linked Teams channel is a member and sees the shared pipeline. Notification cards post to that channel.
Standalone workspace
Created in the personal app and scoped to you (and anyone you add). No channel, no channel notifications.
See Sales workspaces for the difference.
Roles control management, not visibility
Every member is one of three roles — there's no read-only or “viewer” tier:
- Owner / Admin — everything a Member can do, plus change CRM Settings (mailbox, daily cap, templates, labels, notification channel, automation) and manage members.
- Member — work the pipeline day to day: add and edit leads, contacts, and opportunities, and send email.
Everyone can see settings; only Owners and Admins can change them.
A few specifics
- Records open only for signed-in workspace members (Microsoft SSO) — links aren't public.
- Automation and new-record cards post to the workspace's notification channel, visible to channel members.
- Data never crosses workspaces, even under the same account.
In short: workspace membership decides visibility, role decides management. For anything confidential, use a dedicated workspace.
