Labels are colored tags you attach to leads to segment your pipeline — by temperature, company size, industry, or anything you like. A lead can carry several at once.
The default set
Every workspace starts with a starter set, so the AI research has a vocabulary to tag from out of the box:
These are just a starting point — rename, recolor, add to, or archive any of them. A workspace that has no labels at all offers an Add suggested defaults button to seed this set in one click.
Managing labels
Open CRM Settings → the label manager. Three things are on offer: Add label (a name and a color from the palette), the pencil to edit an existing label's name or color, and the bin to remove one you no longer use. Removing archives the label rather than deleting it, so leads that already carry it keep their history.
How labels get applied
- By you — on a lead, add or remove labels from the label chips.
- By AI — during research, the AI suggests labels from your set based on what it reads about the company. It can only pick from labels you already have, so the set you define is the vocabulary it works in.
- By a campaign — after an automated send, the lead picks up a marker label named after the campaign that sent it, so you can filter by who received what.
- By import — a CSV's
Labelscolumn is matched by name, and any name it doesn't recognise is created as a new label. See Importing and exporting leads.
Filtering and grouping
In the Leads list you can filter to a single label or group by label to see your pipeline sliced by segment — e.g. all your Hot Enterprise leads at once. Labels are also how you aim a campaign at a segment.
